This boot features an accordion-like elastic band on the outer top-calf. The extra elastic part allows for a snug fit, especially during calf-flexion while horse-back riding (including breezing, galloping, training, etc). These boots also feature a large protective pad on the medial part of the calf that has been filled with a foam cushion. This extra cushioning helps provide more comfort to the jockey while riding. The boot has a low heel, and a thin rubber sole. The sole is externally ribbed to provide the jockey with a better grip on the stirrup. All boots are handcrafted, with the sole glued on with a borderline stitching along the outline of the foot of the sole. The heel is also glued on, and nailed in for extra reinforcement and durability. This design is sleek and slim, but still perfect for those jockeys who experience issues with the insertion of regular slip-on boots. All seams have been doubly stitched onto the synthetic patent leather (Clarino).
